The Eagle Think Tank successfully conducted its first session of Mission – “Reflection and Outlook” (Strategic Virtual Presentation & Conversation) on November 1, 2025 (BS 2082 Kartik 15). The event, held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, centered on the theme “Nepal’s Gen Z Movement 2025: Lessons Learnt and Way Ahead”, and brought together a distinguished panel of experts and participants from the fields of security, governance, diplomacy, and academia.
The session featured three eminent speakers — Former DIGP Rabindra Sharma, Former Armed IGP Pushparam KC, and Former Major General Prem Shahi — each delivering insightful perspectives on the implications of Nepal’s Gen Z movement for their respective institutions. The discussion was conducted in Nepali language, reflecting inclusivity and accessibility.
Over the course of two hours, the speakers offered strategic and professional analyses, highlighting the evolving socio-political dynamics shaped by Nepal’s younger generation. The open-floor discussion that followed numerous questions raised and thoughtfully addressed, fostering a robust exchange of ideas and experiences.
Participants commended the depth, objectivity, and foresight demonstrated throughout the forum. The dialogue emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation, institutional adaptability, and youth engagement in safeguarding Nepal’s national security and democratic values.
Eagle Think Tank, serving as moderator, ensured a disciplined and collegial atmosphere, documenting key insights and recommendations for an After-Action Review (AAR) to support institutional learning and strategic planning.
The Mission – Reflection and Outlook initiative aimed to promote continuous reflection, inter-institutional collaboration, and policy innovation to strengthen Nepal’s resilience amid emerging challenges. The forum will continue on a fortnightly basis, engaging thought leaders and professionals dedicated to advancing Nepal’s peace, stability, and development.
