Bhaktapur: A group of six students from Khwopa Engineering College, pursuing Architecture Engineering under the course Building Materials, visited Nepal Eco Panel to gain practical knowledge about modern construction materials and manufacturing processes. During the educational visit, the students were introduced to the manufacturing process of Nepal Eco Panel, its various applications and uses in the construction sector, and the company's commitment to producing environmentally friendly and energy-efficient building materials. The visit provided an opportunity for the students to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world industrial practices. The students were also briefed on the significance of internationally recognized management systems implemented by Nepal Eco Panel. Special emphasis was given to the importance of ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 45001:2018 (Occupational Health and Safety Management System), and ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) in ensuring product quality, workplace safety, and environmental sustainability. The technical session was conducted by Er. Krishna Sunder Kumpakha, Manager of Nepal Eco Panel and a graduate in Earthquake Engineering. He explained how the lightweight nature of Nepal Eco Panels contributes to improved earthquake performance, making them a suitable option for seismic regions such as Nepal. He further highlighted the speed and ease of installation of the panels, demonstrating how they can significantly reduce construction time while maintaining structural efficiency. Addressing the students, Er. Krishna Bhakta Duwal, CEO of Nepal Eco Panel, stated that the company has been facilitating industrial and field visits for engineering students from across the country with the objective of promoting practical learning and industry-academia collaboration. He emphasized that Nepal Eco Panel is not merely a manufacturing industry but also a learning center for engineering students, where future engineers can observe innovative technologies, understand quality and environmental management systems, and gain firsthand exposure to modern construction practices. The students actively participated in discussions and observed the production facility, gaining valuable insights into innovative building technologies and sustainable construction practices. Such industrial visits play an important role in enhancing students' technical understanding and preparing them for future professional challenges in the field of engineering and construction.
