Around 500 Young Cyclists Participate in Kids' Kora 2026 in Bhaktapur

Bhaktapur, Nepal: Around 500 young cyclists aged between 3 and 18 years enthusiastically participated in Kids' Kora 2026, organized by Cycle Connect Bhaktapur with Nepal Eco Panel Pvt. Ltd. as the Sustainability Partner. The event was inaugurated by Architect Rajani Joshi, Vice Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality, who appreciated the initiative for encouraging children to adopt cycling as a healthy, environmentally friendly, and sustainable mode of transportation from an early age. Participants rode approximately 5 kilometers along the traditional Gaijatra route in Bhaktapur, promoting road safety, physical fitness, and environmental awareness while enjoying the city's rich cultural heritage. According to the organizing committee, the primary objective of Kids' Kora is to cultivate cycling habits among children from the grassroots level, helping create a healthier generation while reducing dependence on motorized transportation in the future. Speaking on the occasion, Er. Krishna Bhakta Duwal, CEO of Nepal Eco Panel Pvt. Ltd. and Advisor to Cycle Connect Bhaktapur, stated that Nepal Eco Panel supported the event as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment. He emphasized that promoting sustainable lifestyles among children is an investment in a cleaner, healthier, and more environmentally responsible future. The event attracted young cyclists not only from Bhaktapur but also from Kathmandu and Lalitpur, reflecting the growing popularity of cycling among children and the increasing awareness of sustainable mobility in the Kathmandu Valley. Kids' Kora 2026 concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation from children, parents, volunteers, and supporters, reinforcing the message that cycling is a fun, healthy, and eco-friendly habit that should be encouraged from an early age.
